Mizzou community, supporters, and friends,

Classes begin next week, and our dedicated faculty and staff members are preparing for another successful semester. This talent and hard work is one reason our students graduate career-ready. A 2017 survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers shows that Mizzou grads are ahead of the national job placement average. More than 90 percent have successful career outcomes following graduation — an impressive ranking which is higher than that of many AAU and SEC institutions. I couldn’t be prouder of our work in this area.

Kansas City native Grace Doran, BS '17, recently graduated with a degree in civil and environmental engineering from Mizzou. If you haven’t visited the #MizzouMade site lately, I encourage you to take a look. There are many great stories about those whose lives changed for the better thanks to MU. One of the newest entries features several of our impressive December 2017 graduates, including engineer Grace Doran. Grace is beginning a new career at global engineering firm HDR, located in Seattle. “I’m about to start my dream job, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without my experiences at the University of Missouri,” she says.

Add your voice to the story. How are you #MizzouMade?

Until next week,
