Mizzou community, supporters, and friends,

Happy New Year! I always enjoy this time of year, which brings a sense of new possibilities. I look forward to seeing all the great accomplishments of our students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters in 2018.

Maria Magner
Graduate student Maria Magner credits the Trulaske College of Business MBA program's interdisciplinary collaboration with the Missouri School of Journalism as one of the reasons she chose Mizzou.
As I have stated numerous times before, Mizzou’s alumni are exceptional in so many ways. The regard that many of our alumni have for MU makes others take notice. Just ask this week’s #MizzouMade Tiger, Maria Magner. Before beginning her graduate program, Maria worked on the west coast with smart, hardworking Mizzou alumni who adored their alma mater (in fact, many of them scheduled vacations around Homecoming). Their experiences influenced Maria — who applied, and was accepted, to the Trulaske College of Business’ MBA program. And she couldn’t be happier with her decision. “Mizzou was a great choice,” she says.

In my last few updates, I’ve encouraged many of our various community members to visit our student success webpage. Today, I would like to alert our alumni to additional ways they may become involved in student success. There are numerous opportunities for you to be involved: you can become an ambassador, congratulate future students in your area, refer a future Tiger, become a mentor, and/or support Mizzou in an area of your choice. With your help, we can make the MU student experience truly one-of-a-kind in higher education.

Until next week,
