Mizzou community, supporters, and friends,

Finals week is underway, and this weekend brings our winter commencement ceremonies. To all those who are graduating, I wish you congratulations and best wishes for the future.

To those students who will return to our beautiful campus in January, I hope you have a great holiday season and a restful break. Relax and catch up with your hometown friends and family—and if you find yourself with time on your hands, take a look at our student success webpage. You’ll find a lot of information for you (and for your parents): ways to get involved on campus, internship opportunities, scholarships & financial aid, Open Educational Resources, and more.

Mizzou alumnus Dr. Danna Wren, director of Educational Technologies (ET@MO), helps faculty become better teachers. So many of our dedicated staff and faculty members work tirelessly for student success. One such champion is this week’s #MizzouMade Tiger: Danna Wren, director of Educational Technologies (ET@MO). When Dr. Wren came to MU for her doctorate in 2000, she wasn’t sure what to expect. “As a first-generation college student, I didn’t have many people to advise me on what it meant to be successful,” she says. “Mizzou provided great mentors, advisers and faculty members to ensure I had the tools I need to succeed.” Now, Dr. Wren trains future faculty members in good teaching techniques—helping ensure that the positive learning experiences she enjoyed will be replicated for today’s students.
