Mizzou community, supporters, and friends,

It’s the last week of classes, and the campus is buzzing with activity. This is an exciting time, but it can also be stressful for some. I want to remind you that support services are available to Mizzou students, faculty and staff at no cost. And, I wish you all a successful week.

Jenna Heaton, a sophomore early childhood education major, gets real-world career experience through the Jumpstart program. Heaton, pictured here, standing in front of tiger sculptures.Partnerships provide so many great hands-on opportunities to our students, and #MizzouMade sophomore Jenna Heaton is no exception. Jenna, who is pursuing a degree in early education, is involved with Jumpstart, a program that partners college students with local preschools to provide care for at-risk children. Jenna says this partnership offered her the opportunity to give back — and is helping her become a better teacher.

We value these existing partnerships that provide our students with these experiences, and we want to expand them. I want to take this opportunity to invite businesses, organizations, and members of the mid-Missouri community to join us. Mizzou is committed to helping our students graduate career-ready — and you can help. Through internships and other collaborations, you can work with our talented students, helping prepare them for success while also moving your organization forward. If you’re interested in learning more, you can opt in here.

Until next week,
