Mizzou community, supporters, and friends,

Thanksgiving week is upon us, and at this time of year the topic of gratitude is always on my mind. I’m grateful for so many things, and at the top of the list are the people of Mizzou. As I mentioned during my 100-day remarks last week, the MU community is made up of resilient individuals with high integrity and an extraordinary work ethic. You solve problems innovatively, with a commitment to roll up your sleeves and get the work done. I am grateful for the positive impact that we all have on the lives of people.

MU’s outreach programs are a big part of that difference-making. University of Missouri of Extension is one remarkable way in which we engage with people all across the state. This week’s #MizzouMade story focuses on Extension Specialist Kent Shannon, who helps Missouri farmers harness new technology to better feed the world.

I wish you all a great Thanksgiving and a restful weekend.

Until next week,
