Mizzou community, supporters, and friends,

Homecoming is rapidly approaching, and I’m looking forward to celebrating in true Tiger style. It’s great to be part a school that helped launch this now-widespread tradition in higher education. After meeting so many of you in the last three months, I can say confidently that the spirit of pride in who we are, and what we do, still runs deep.

That longstanding commitment to our mission by the people of Mizzou is doubtless one reason we were recently honored with membership in the Boone County Historical Society’s Hall of Fame. I had the pleasure earlier this month of officially accepting this honor on MU’s behalf. For the ceremony, the Historical Society put together a stirring video about Mizzou I think you may enjoy. Please take a look—and consider sharing on social media, as a reminder of our long history of #MizzouMade success.

Three such #MizzouMade alumni will be inducted this week into the Mizzou Homecoming Hall of Fame. Norm Stewart, Peggy Cherng and Andrew Cherng were chosen as this year’s inductees for their excellence in their chosen fields. If you attend our homecoming parade, be sure to wave to them as they pass by in their roles as Grand Marshals. You can read more about these high-achieving Tigers here.

Happy homecoming!

Until next week,
