The Fulbright Program: Changing Our Campus, Changing Our World
Thursday, November 19, 2009
3:30-5 p.m.
Chamber Auditorium (Student Center), MU Campus

Location Note: Chamber Auditorium is located on the 2nd floor of the new MU Student Center (formerly Brady Commons), above University Bookstore. Entrances are located on the north and south sides of the building.
According to The Chronicle of Higher Education, MU is one of the top 20 institutions for Fulbright awards. Join MU Chancellor Brady J. Deaton as he moderates an open forum and faculty panel on the impact of the Fulbright Program.
Referring to the exchange program that bears his name, the late Sen. J. William Fulbright once said, "There is a multiplier effect in international education, and it carries the possibility -- the only real possibility -- of changing our manner of thinking about the world, and therefore, of changing the world."
Established in 1946 to increase mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries, the Fulbright Program has provided more than 300,000 American and foreign scholars with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research abroad.
As part of the campuswide celebration of International Education Week, this discussion will explore the impact of the Fulbright Program at Mizzou through the experiences of four MU faculty Fulbright recipients.
The Chancellor's forums are free and open to the public.
